Black Gold....Texas Tea......

Let's talk about my dysfunctional family - shall we?

We already know of my alcoholic Mother. And Father.  Well - my father's side of the family were oil people, and farmers. In western Kansas. That side of the family pretty much acted like I (and my brother) didn't exist. After my father died ( of drinking, make no mistake) the little teensy bit of contact we had with that family came to a screeching halt. ( It could have something to do with the fact that I didn't go to his funeral. He was a horrible abusive man with lots of other problems besides alcohol - when they divorced I had already said goodbye to him. Funerals are for paying respects...I had no respect for him.. . but I digress).

ANY way. His mother left me part ownership of her oil wells and the land they were on. They have not been drilling on all the land - and the wells haven't been producing too awful much...but it's something. Now they want to drill on the rest of the land. Some sort of surveyors have done some testing and they think if they drill they might hit pay dirt.

In order to do this - all the owners of the oil wells and land have to sign. Well - everyone ( the family that ignored me my whole life, and my brother) have already signed. I haven't. Why? Because I don't feel like it. Because they only call me and talk to me when they want something. Because I am being obstinate. Because I can.

Yesterday - my brother called and chewed me up one side and down the other because I haven't signed yet. Guess what I did? Tore up the signed contract and threw it in the trash.

Passive Aggressive much? (yup) ( it's okay)

LOL

I just got a phone call from my daughter -in-law's Mother. My daughter in law is in the hospital. Kidney issues, pancreas issues, they don't know why or what's going on. They might need me to come and help take care of my grandson while she is in the hospital. Life just keeps getting better doesn't it??

And want to know how ridiculous the other grandmother is? Since grand baby is a breast baby - he's never had formula before. Mommy is in the hospital, baby has to eat - so she gives him formula that he promptly pukes up. Rather than to call the doctors office and explain the situation and find out what they recommend - she just uses half the amount of formula to water that it calls for. SO - he isn't getting his calories, and he can end up dehydrated and sick too.

LORD help me.
